Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy

Kiwanis Young Professionals UK is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful and inclusive environment for all members, volunteers and the communities we serve. We support the diversity, equity and inclusion principles of Kiwanis International and apply them in accordance with UK law.

Our mission to serve children and communities is strengthened by embracing people of different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. We believe that every individual should be treated with dignity, fairness and respect.

The club does not tolerate discrimination, harassment or victimisation on the basis of any protected characteristic as defined in the Equality Act 2010. This includes age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.

This policy applies to all aspects of our work, including membership, volunteering, leadership opportunities, events and partnerships.

We are committed to:

  • Encouraging diverse participation
  • Promoting fair and equal opportunities
  • Creating an inclusive and supportive culture
  • Ensuring all individuals feel respected, valued and able to contribute
