What We Do

Samaritan Purse International Relief

Kiwanis Young Professional UK partners with the Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child Project. Together we have sent amazing gift-filled shoeboxes to children in Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus, The Balkans, Serbia, The Middle East, Central Asia and West Africa.

Our Kiwanis club collect these gift-filled shoe boxes and cash donations in November each year. That is part of a global total of 11,330,126 shoebox gifts sent by the UK and other partnering countries to hurting children in over 100 countries and territories.

JUST BE A CHILD

Our Kiwanis club raises funds for Just be a CHild which donates gift bags to children living in Kenyan slums. It will contain: 1 Bag made by UK volunteers; 1 Book; 10 Led pencils; 5 Colour pencils; 5 Pens; 3 Pages from a colouring in book; 1 Sharpener; 1 Ruler; and 1 Eraser. Your donation will give a girl or a boy from extremely difficult backgrounds the chance to part-take in school activities

Knitting Wooly Hats

Our Kiwanis club supports local children hospitals through our Wooly hat donation. Club members volunteer their time and love to create lovely hand made Wooly hats that are then donated to the hospitals for premature babies.

Teach First Marathon

Fancy a run? Our club supports a number of charitable marathons throughout the UK. One of oour favourites is the Teach First Marathon. Since 2003, they have been improving the life chances and choices for children experiencing poverty. They train talented teachers and equip school leaders working in some of the poorest areas of the country – to give children with the fewest opportunities access to a great education.
